NEWS Update - April 2006

Congratulations - Two Dell players called up for England outdoor trial.

We are sad to announce the death of Basil Last who died on the 3rd April. Basil was Club President 1984 & 1996, indoor captain 1981/82, Norfolk Coundy EBA President 1987 and a member of Wymonhdam Dell for over 70 years. Basil's father Walter was a founding member of Wymondham Dell and Club Prsident from 1941 to 1949. Basil was a player in the first Norfolk successful Middleton Cup win in 1966 and was Middleton Cup manager in the 1990's, bringing the Middleton Cup back to Norfolk for the second time.

NEWS Update - February 2006.

We are sad to announce the death of Ken Turner who died on the 2nd February. Ken was Mens's President in 2002/2003 and the Men's welfare office for some years. We shall miss his ever bright friendship.

NEWS Update - January 2006.

On Wednesday 11th January 2006 the Club played host to the Eastern Counties President, Stan Allcock's team when they played the English Indoor Bowling Association team. Representing the EIBA were Trevor Costall (President), Alan Turvey (Senior Deputy President), John Hornby (Junior Deputy President) and Peter Neighbour (Chairman of the Executive Committee). The EIBA won the match overall. President Stan Allcock drew on his rink and the only winning rink for the Eastern Counties was the Norfolk rink skipped by the County President Michael Gulliver.
